About Us
Hanoar Hatzioni is an international Jewish, Zionist and pluralist Youth Movement. Through informal education and dugma ishit (leadership by example), we teach our participants the centrality of Israel, Judaism and social awareness. We intend to build young Jewish people who are independent, moral and active members not only of the Jewish community but of society at large.
Our commitment to pluralism ensures that our pareticipants are able to develop a love of and dedication towards Israel, Judaism and the Jewish people in an open and free environment. We educate using a number of different views and perspectives and encourage young people to form their own opinions.
We provide weekly activities, camps, Israel Tours, Gap Years and much more for young Jewish people aged 8-23. We pride oursleves on ensuring that all members of the Jewish community receive an equal opportunity to participate in our wide social and educational activities regardless of financial or social backgrounds.

Mission Statement
Hanoar Hatzioni began in Eastern Europe in the mid 1920s. It was formed for Zionist youth who did not wish to embroil themselves in the political situation of the time, but wanted to concentrate instead on the re-establishment of Palestine as the Jewish homeland.
The communities of Hanoar Hatzioni spanned throughout the whole of Eastern Europe, from Poland to Romania and Hungary to Austria.
As the movement grew, a central base was created in Israel. Hanoar Hatzioni members played an active role in the pre-state years, building kibbutzim and moshavim, and helping the ma'apilim (immigrants) during and after world war two.
In 1956, Hanoar Hatzioni was established in Britain. During this time, there was little on offer to Jewish youth. Hanoar offered an alternative to the highly political or religious affilated Zionist youth movements, and the non-political youth clubs.
During the 1960s, Hanoar Hatzioni in Britain focused their activities in those parts of Britain which had very little to offer Jewish youth. Hanoar successfully ran weekly meetings all around the country, residential events such as camps that are continued to this day and trips to Israel.
Hanoar Hatzioni Be'Britannia stands as a strong vibrant youth movement in Britain today. We will continue to strive to provide a Jewish identity and moral standards to young people.
History
Our movement participants are split into six different age groups. The name of each shicva (age group) has its own meaning and historical background.
