After returning from Israel Tour, Manhigut is traditionally when the experience and training is gained before the shikva become madrichim. This programme is ideal for those who feel that they have something to give to the British Jewish community, gain leadership and teamwork skills as well as exploring their Jewish identity.
Sessions take place every six weeks in both the South and the North of England as well as on residential seminars. Activities on all our events are in line with our zionist and pluralist ideology whilst also encompassing elements of tzofiut (scouting) and a greater understanding of our Jewish identity.
The first opportunity for participants to formulate ideas about their summer school programme in Israel this summer. Not only will they have the chance to formulate their vision but will also have the opportunity to exercise their leadership skills on the last two days where our Winter camp is open to age 7+.
Hanoar believes that no-one should miss out on the opportunity to partake in one of our events and therefore we have a confidential bursary scheme in place.
Due to the continuous success and strengthening of Hanoar Hatzioni's relationship with Ma'ale Yossef in the North of Israel and the presence of youth from that region on a number of our events, we have chosen this location as part of our final project, Keytana B’Anglit. Throughout the year, Manhigut will be working towards putting together a five day scheme involving teaching English through informal education.
Outside this scheme, chanichim will have the oppertunity to form closer bonds not only with eachother but the land of Israel and its inhabitants who will use the free time outside the Keytana to explore the North and all it has to offer. On their return the Keytana participants will travel straight to Summer Camp to complete their leadership training.

The final part of our scheme involves coming back from Israel straight onto Summer Camp with a group of Israelis where they will gain their final leadership skills and graduate from our programme. Summer camp will involve a combination of teamwork and leadership activities, a further exploration of our Jewish and Zionist identity, on site activities, active leadership and a few suprises along the way...! Once the course is complete the participant can qualify as a Hanoar Hatzioni leader where they will engage with Chanichim in weekly activities and on residential camps.
